Foster an animal

HSNEI provides temporary shelter for pets waiting to be adopted through foster homes. When you foster a pet through HSNEI, you save the life of a pet in need of a little extra TLC.

Foster care is administered by volunteers who open their homes to a pet in order to provide temporary care. These pets include young kittens and puppies to more mature cats and dogs that may be either orphaned, abondoned, or can no longer be cared for by their owners.

HSNEI will cover all basic veterinary care at predefined vet clinics, as well as food costs if necessary.  Learn more by reading our foster home manual.

If you believe you are up to the challenge, you can call 563-382-0500, or e-mail [email protected] for more information, or fill out a foster application.
